Another seven miles around the city has just about taken my legs to their limit today 😂 We bought our tickets online to save queueing then got the bus into the city again. Off the bus at Plaça de Catalunya and onto the Metro up to the park. The journey took about an hour and a half!

I think I might have enjoyed the park more if we had entered through the imposing main entrance. Instead, we seemed to come in through a side entrance after climbing up several narrow streets – some with very helpful escalators on them.

We were immediately pulled along with the crowds – I haven’t seen that many people since the start of Covid. Quite shocking to say that it’s only April. It was a bit of a struggle to see things at times as everyone is a supermodel these days and one photo just won’t do – especially if the hair isn’t right! 😂

The mosaic covered buildings, steps and sculptures were quite stunning although we didn’t see the best of them until we came out of the exit and turned around! Mostly though, the park is a green space with huge views over the city and down to the sea.

We got the metro back to the top of the Ramblas and then walked down to the bottom and back up. A few street artists, but also many beggars, druggies and bin divers which is a shame in such a lovely city.

Got the bus back from the right stop this time and now we are back, Guy has recreated every plate of tapas he’s seen or smelt this afternoon. Hoping that there are fewer planes going over tonight but it’s not looking likely.
