Mr and Mrs Calderwood

A UK blog, no less! Well, it looked like going abroad would cost around £500 in tests and then there’s the gamble of which country will turn red next.

Friday 23rd July

On the Road

The most horrendous journey down the M5. Bumper to bumper traffic – just like a 1970’s holiday! 🥵Took us nearly an hour just to get out of Nottingham for starters, then, at the other end, the narrowest lanes ever to reach the pub car park in Teignmouth. Never seen Guy sink a pint so quickly. Jordan came to join us, plus the Scrofts – great end to a not so great day.

The Wedding of Briony and Angus

A quiet night in the pub car park but the rain was like marbles hitting the roof all night. It’s been so sunny all week but thankfully it cleared up and held off for the rest of the day. Fortunately our good friend Karl lent us his car so that we could get from a to b and back again – lucky he did as Guy was photographer for the day and I don’t think we’d have managed the church run in the motorhome.

Guy went to collect Jordan, who turned up looking like one of Pablo Escobar’s men. Meanwhile, groomsman Callum was busy round at Angus’ trying on his Scottish skirt.

What a fab day all round. Some brutal traditional dancing (bonkers) and a very rousing rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’ to end the night. Congratulations and many thanks to the bride and groom
