One Nine a Copy… One Nine a Copy… Back on the Road Again

Well, here we are again in Calais. This time we are heading for Norway the long way round. Hopefully, passing through Antwerp and Berlin then up through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, ferry to Helsinki in Finland and then back down the Norwegian coast at which point we’ll be skint! 😂

For anyone that doesn’t already know, Rufus is sadly no longer with us. He went off to chase rabbits, cats, cars and sandwiches in the sky 😢😢😢 We miss him so much and the house and now the motorhome feel very empty without him. We think we gave him a good life though (17 countries!) and hopefully, he’s still with us in spirit (we bought his passport just in case) hence, Rufus rambles on!

Today’s been a bit hectic as always. Loads to do at the last minute. Finally got away mid afternoon and crossed early on the tunnel at around 7:30. Arrived starving so headed for nearest Courtpaille restaurant for a quick steak n chips. Bit chewy, I have to say, and we felt we were stopping the staff from going home as we’d arrived quite late. We asked for our desert in a box to take away and Guy fetched a water bottle from the van and we filled it with the remaining wine! So….Russ Openshaw, Mr Bramley is one nil down already with his wine consumption! Fat boy Slim returns to the Parrots early October – God help him!!🤣
