Well, I’ve never heard of a doline either. It’s a kind of a sinkhole type thing but in a rock. To me, it looked like a meteorite had hit, leaving a bowl shape in the earth.

What an amazing place though. We walked down some steps through a tunnel and came out into a complete circle of rock – you could walk all the way around the edge with a bit of a scramble at the end (I’ve been way too comfortable these last few weeks! 😂).

Two tiny chapels were buried in the rocks – one of the door handles came off in Guy’s hand but we still managed to get in.

Just realised I’m writing this back to front! 🙄We de-toured this morning to call at the smart yachty place called Porto Heli. We had a little walk round the bay to the beautiful whitewashed church and back again…just long enough for my sandal to snap. I was already feeling scruffy with a breakfast stain on my dress – left the pelican bib at home again!!

We drove through some spectacular countryside today – we never realised how mountainous Greece is.

Now at a campsite near Nafplion …washing again! Had a great swim though and there was a brilliant pink sunset.
