Washing day today and it was perfect weather for it. Sun shining, warm and very windy at times.
There are several washing machines, but I was informed by a lady in the laundry that the campsite owner has to come and start them. Thought I’d load my washing in to the big empty machine and then go and fetch him – trouble was I loaded it into a tumble dryer!🙄 Didn’t notice the filter in the door and they all looked the same!
Guy busied himself surreptitiously washing the van – not really the done thing on a camping pitch but it was ditched.
After lunch we walked to Plaka harbour which is very tiny, but quite picturesque, with its blue and white restaurants. Tried sitting on the grey gravel beach but it was a bit too windy. There were a few camper vans in the beach car park but there was a very strong smell of cannabis floating in the air, so I don’t think we’ll be joining them.😬
On the way back, Guy was fascinated with some concrete moulds which are used to make sea defences – we think! Makes for good architectural photos.
Sitting outside now at 7:30pm …given up pretending to be warm and wrapped up in a fleecy blanket!
