Been a hectic few days flying back to the UK and then returning to Malaga yesterday. The return journey wasn’t anywhere near as bad as expected even though the flight was at 5:45am. We actually got to East Mids around midnight to find everything closed, not a soul around, and the next flight was ours!
Arriving in Malaga, we took the sensible option and got a train to the campsite …on the way out, we’d walked 4.5 miles along a route that was not meant for pedestrians 🙄Seems its not really possible to walk in to an airport!
The train was a ‘tap on, tap off’ job except, being sleep deprived, we forgot to tap off! Guy went back to try and rectify the situation but think he may have started another journey 🤣- still waiting to see what the damage is!
Had to move off the campsite straight away, so lucky we managed to park next to the beach in Torremolinos. Slept all afternoon, then went for a little walk and forgot to turn back. Hadn’t planned on eight miles. The place was much better than we expected. Very high rise and over developed, but really clean and felt safe. Might be different in high season.

This morning we set off to find a campsite with a space – not easy. We’ve landed here at Parque Tropical near Estepona, where we stayed in 2020 just before Covid hit. Got two loads of washing done and out on the line. Went for a walk and then discovered a heated indoor pool, so had a swim too.
We now have ‘the rain in Spain’ and a big Ikea bag full of damp washing!
