The Mogador’s Oasis 3/3/26

As forecast, it did rain all night with some proper torrential stuff this morning. Then, quite miraculously, the sun came out, still very windy, but it meant that we could get out for a walk by the sea.

Bracing stuff, but it was great to get some fresh air. The sea was absolutely wild, like a giant pot of boiling water although I guess it’s anything but warm. We walked as far as the little derelict fishing village, hardly a soul around except for a couple of fishermen. Plastic rubbish apart, it’s quite a beautiful area with the walled compound of this small campsite standing out as the only structure in the middle of nowhere, hence, its name, the Mogador’s Oasis.

I don’t think we could have got out today even if we’d tried, as the sand road is too wet and sinkable. We don’t mind at all as it’s a lovely, well organised and clean place to be.

Got some washing done this afto but I think the drying might involve a gamble of leave it out or bring it in!😬
