We didn’t have to check out until 12 today, so as the campsite was really expensive, we took the opportunity to use their water to wash the motorhome! Well, Guy did the outside in a swarm of wasps while I cowered inside cleaning the bathroom. 😬 30C05AD0-8EC6-4EFC-9661-2B29FE05EBF4We then drove to Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. It was lovely, with a warren of narrow streets and a picturesque harbour with a few swanky yachts in. We bought some olive oil from an ā€œI saw you coming..ā€ shop but it’s very nice! Guy tried virtually everything she was selling to make sure he got his monies worth! 9D105CFC-F2FB-4813-B8EA-8666A6B049F5šŸ˜‚ Instead of eating lunch in the car park, we drove out of town and parked at the entrance to an olive grove. Nearly choked on my coffee when the angry farmer came tooting us out of the way. I wonder if he knows it’s on the Park4night App? šŸ˜‚ Carried on round to Jelsa where we had an unfortunate car park experience. As we drove in there was a sharp turn which took a bit of careful manoeuvring…not fast enough for the barrier. The flipping thing came down and wedged itself into the back of the van. Fortunately, a chap came and helped us lift it up while Guy drove forward. Miraculously, there’s only a tiny scratch but it was so annoying as there was no one about to complain to. Jelsa was a lot like Stari Grad, just smaller and quieter really. Rufus was completely bamboozled by a donkey sculpture …he’s normally terrified of anything that shape and once he noticed it started walking sideways to get away from it! There were a couple of campsites on the way out – both charging about Ā£30 a night, so we carried on a bit and found a big empty car park overlooking the sea. There’s a bar below on the shoreline but it’s boarded up for the end of the season. The owners have been and sorted some stuff out but never even looked our way. Another small van has come in and cooked their dinner outside so guessing we’ll be ok to stay here for Ā£0.00 šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘
