Went into town the easy way this morning …on the bus, which stopped ten yards from where we were parked. Went straight up on to the walls before it got too hot but it was already jammed with Chinese, Japanese, and us ..dirty knees! Steep steps up and quite high in places with stunning views over the rooftops and harbour. At one point, it was just a slow moving procession of humanity along a very narrow walkway. Well worth doing though; took about an hour, but afterwards we got straight back on the bus – had enough!
We drove down the coast to Kupari where there are four hotels that have just been left since the war. Very eerie – you can still see bullet and shell holes everywhere. We found a campsite in Mlini, just a bit further on, so booked in with the idea of asking them to print off our green card for Montenegro. They were happy to do it but their internet has been down since the storm earlier in the week. 🙄 They suggested a computer shop up the road …this may be because as we arrived at Kate’s Camping, Guy asked the huge man outside reception if he was Kate! 🤣 We had a walk along the seafront this afternoon. A lot of the stuff here is new …including a huge Sheraton hotel. Think they are developing it all as the Dubrovnik Riviera. Hopefully then, Montenegro tomorrow! 😁(I might not be able to transmit the ramblings over the next five days – depends on where we find WiFi. Talk amongst yourselves 😉)
