Well, thats Mr Bramley on a PDP for his route planning and over enthusiasm for ridiculous mountain roads! We’ve just done a panoramic drive at the wrong time of day – not that there was a right time to do it in a motorhome. From the Black Lake to Pludine was the worst, single track, zig-zaggy road with steep drops, mostly on my side, we’ve ever done. Guy was enjoying it until the last 10k when it started to go really downhill and it was him looking over the edge not me. Drove through tunnels hewn out of the rock, full of bats 🦇- cars started coming the other way. At one point two Serbian blokes came past us laughing and wanted to shake my hand as they thought ‘little voman ‘was driving! Absolutely nowhere to pull in and stop for miles and miles, unless you are a wild horse, cow or sheep.
The day started ok with a kindly monk coming to ask if we’d had a good nights sleep. A meandering scenic drive along the Tara Canyon which had crazy zip wire over it for people with a death wish. It had quite a nice bridge but when we walked over it the structure looked a bit dodgy to say the least. Further on, we stopped and asked about the route at a rafting place as we have no phone-nav and our map of Europe is pretty useless. The lady advised us to see the Black Lake (which was really nice but nowhere decent to stay – carpark man said NO!😢
)and then do the panoramic route to Pludine. Get me back to the coast🙄🏖🏝
