Peniscola and Morella

A two centre day! After confusing all our neighbours by driving off and leaving a line full of washing, we snuck down to the bottom of the campsite and quickly washed the van whilst no one was looking.😉 There are normally signs up to say ‘don’t use our water for washing your motorhome’ but none here, so we got the bottom two thirds done! Collected the washing on the way out …just as the Germans were eyeing it up to see if anything would fit !🤣
Drove up the motorway for a bit and then stopped at Lidl for the shopping. Bread day ….👍👍👍! On to Peniscola, which didn’t look too promising as we drove in, but had a lovely whitewashed old town on a hill with a castle at the top. Miles and miles of huge hotels either side – it must be rammed in the Summer.
After a late lunch we headed inland about 60km up a very steep zigzag road to a town called Morella. You could see this place from miles away as it stands high up on rock with a castle at the top. It looks amazing, but we are a fair walk away so will do that in the morning.
