Well, www.Nuthetal-Caravans.de ( a Chausson dealer) was a far cry from Lowdham Caravans. We drove in first thing this morning to ask if there was any chance of spare parts/ repairs. After the initial mirth of the steering wheel being on the wrong side, the van was immediately swooped upon by two very helpful chaps, who fixed the window and fashioned a new blind all inside an hour. €90 ish – the insurance excess was £200, so thankfully no claim! They even let us fill up with water and drain etc – amazing service.
Had a late breakfast, then started the long drive through Poland. Sooo many lorries and lots of congestion. At one point two lanes were completely full of trucks and lorries for as far as the eye could see. Diesel at around £1.10 is helpful though.
This part of Poland was really flat and boring to drive through, but then we reached Poznan. Wow – really beautiful square with cobbled streets and colourful painted houses. Lots of people around, but then we noticed armed police on every corner. Apparently, there’s a Pride March this evening and God knows what kind of trouble they were expecting but it looked like they were expecting a riot. We sat outside a bar to watch the spectacle, but apart from a few girls in pink t shirts and some loud music, it was all a bit of a non-event. We were approached by an old lady selling sandwiches out of a carrier bag. We declined on this occasion, as I think they were made in a kitchen with a food hygiene rating of -26!

Glad you got the window sorted before you got to Poland.
