Drove up the coast on the motorway this morning towards Torrevieja. Guy is hoping to meet some cycling mates who are flying out this weekend…not sure if that’ll be happening now!
We called at Lidl when we got off the motorway and it was like we’d entered another world. It was full of English people cramming their trollies with pasta and toilet rolls – never seen behaviour like it. All manners had been left at home!
Got to this lovely big clean campsite and booked in for three nights…only to then realise that it’s on the wrong side of the river and there’s nothing around to walk to. There are some quite ugly flats and apartments around – it’s all a bit depressing!
Had a bit of a walk up a dusty track then came back to listen to the pensioners having a party next door but one. The renditions of ‘Ebony and Ivory’ etc got steadily worse as the evening wore on and more Sangria was consumed 🤪.
Been told that the campsite is not letting anyone else in…for our security. Tomorrow, the Spanish government will announce its emergency measures so we’ll know then what we can or cannot do. Planning our next move! 🤔😷
