Wow! The wildest, windiest night we’ve ever spent in the motorhome. The parking wasn’t in a particularly sheltered spot but didn’t expect it to be howling around us like it did. 50 mph apparently until about 5am which was all a bit too little, too late when it comes to sleep!
We only realised late last night that the clocks go back Saturday night, not Sunday – in France too. So we gained an hour last night, then another when we crossed over! Time travellers!!
Bit of delay on the tunnel which is unusual, and the British passport control man was the surliest we’ve ever come across. “Filled your passenger locator forms in?” – “yup” – that was it. Didn’t ask for the QR code or anything.
The roads were ok for once, it being a Sunday, not too many lorries around. Stopped at Lowdhams to clean the van inside and out, filled up with diesel, moved our worldly goods from van to house, then took it to storage. We walked back ..it was freezing.
Once our two weeks are up we might have tunnelled through all this stuff to get out the front door!
