The rain has been a real pain today. It seemed to pour down intermittently, but always as we set off to walk anywhere.
We had a scenic drive through some of the villages in the Forest of Dean, then headed towards Tintern Abbey to park up for lunch. Soup! It seemed crazy when Guy was making batches of it in the heat last week, but very well received today in the drizzling rain.
Had a walk around the outside of the abbey until it got too wet, then drove to Chepstow.
Parked up at the castle and had a wander around, until the brolly blew inside out and snapped 🙄
Gave up again and drove inland through what should have been beautiful scenery but mostly grey and misty.
Free parking tonight in Brecon (every cloud….),wine and cheese for consolation – as if we ever needed an excuse!
