Normally I forget to do this until we’ve been home for a couple of days, but as Guy has already sorted his top photos from the trip, I might as well do it now.

Great night’s sleep in La Bouille ..looked like a really nice village too, but pouring with rain this morning so we didn’t investigate. One to remember though even if it was a bit off the beaten track.
Grey miserable weather all the way to Boulogne – makes us want to turn back south! Occasionally the sun would suddenly break through though and when we got a first glimpse of the sea, it actually looked turquoise.
The supermarkets were open despite it being All Saints Day – needn’t have done the mad dash last night.
Called at Lidl for bread and some vegetables..slightly cheaper and better quality than our local Sainsbury’s offerings.
When we got to Calais, the heavens opened again – great! They’ve made the huge free parking area ‘day time only’ now, so we’ve had to come into the ‘camping carpark’ one. Plenty of space thankfully.
Cleaning and packing – the washing doesn’t fit in the washing bag any more 😬
Got to be up early 😴as we’ve booked the ferry this time. We really love the tunnel, but it’s getting so expensive, we thought we’d give the boat another try.
Thanks for reading, staying in touch and all the comments and…
Merry Christmas !🎅 🤣🤣🤣

  1. What an amazing trip and fabulous photos. We’re planning to do lots more in the van next year. Safe journey home.

    1. Thanks Claire. You’ve both put some hard work in on that house of yours this autumn…looks like it’s really coming together now. We’ve enjoyed watching the progress X
