Some strange noises coming from that zoo in the night!

The sun was shining, so we set off to visit the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos. Inside was one of the largest Roman mosaics in existance – not sure how they got it up on the wall to display it. Beautiful gardens to walk around with some good topiary stuff – see Guy in his hedge castle!

Afterwards, we went in search of a barbers – Guy is kicking himself that he didn’t get his hair cut in Seville – would’ve made such a good title! They were all too busy today so we’ll have to try elsewhere.

Tried the Mercado Victoria (thanks Lisa!)for lunch. A gastronomic food court offering all sorts of freshly made tempting stuff. We furthered our unhealthy diet of fried potatoes, peppers and olive oil, but it had to be done.

Walked it off afterwards through part new town, part old, then back over the Roman bridge to the van. Decided to move on mid afternoon and inadvertently left the warm sunny stuff behind. ☹️

Just south of Jaen now – so many olive trees along the way, it’s unbelievable. Apparently, they are all owned by just a few families, so the wealth doesn’t get spread too thinly. 😬
