Rained all night and then rained all day – forecast for approximately the next two weeks! Contemplated what to do this morning – head forwards or backwards. Thought we’d try and drive out of it by going up towards Valencia. It didn’t work!
A Lidl shop first in Lorca. Thankfully the fruit and vegetable shelves were stocked up this time. Took us ages to get out of the town afterwards as the roads were busy and everything seems a bit more manic when the weather is bad. We were thinking we’d have a couple of days in the sun around Mazarron on a campsite but would be a complete waste of time and money at the moment.
We got on the motorway and it was so windy it’s made Guy’s shoulders ache holding on to the steering wheel. Came off just after the Benidorm sky scrapers and headed towards Altea.
On a motorhome site by the sea – it’s cost as much as a campsite after all that. The friendly owner insisted on coming out in the torrential rain to ensure that Guy lined the wheels up correctly with the blue line. 🙄
Looks like a wine, chocolate and telly night!
