We had a lovely day yesterday as we had a visit from Guy’s sister Karen, John and our nephew Oliver. Although it was a bit cool and breezy at times, the sun shone brilliantly for most of the day. We had lunch at our favourite restaurant – Calau, which just seems to get better every year, then had a walk to Llafranc and Golfet beaches. First ice cream of 2022 went down well whilst watching the waves.

What a change today! Cloudy, cold and now raining! We left the campsite about eleven and drove to L’Estartit to do a Lidl shop. There’s a huge Lidl in Palafrugell but unfortunately, we couldn’t fit into the car park. Tried to park near the seafront after our shopping but impossible. It all looked a bit grim anyway, other than a misty view of the Medes Isles. Back inland, we wandered around Torroella de Montgri, then made our way to Verges ready to see the Easter parade on Thursday. Now, I knew it was only Tuesday today and I’m thinking to myself, ‘what on earth are we going to do in this little town until Thursday evening?’ Guy, however, thought it was Wednesday today and was quite surprised when he realised he was a day out! 😂 So, off we went again and now we’re parked up at Ullastret, a lovely little medieval village in the middle of nowhere. Had a little walk in but it’s now drizzling so we’ve given up!
