More medieval walled town in the rain. This one is particularly lovely with a handful of little ‘I saw you coming’ shops and restaurants. We walked up to the top of the bell tower just as it struck – not as loud as I thought it might be.

Unfortunately, it was really pouring down and we were getting soaked -along with the camera! Nothing for it but back to the van.

Had lunch and then drove to Verges again. Preparations are afoot for tomorrow’s Easter procession, in that all the streets are being lined with torches and there are palm branches and big crucifix stashed under various bits of staging.

There’s not a lot here otherwise, it’s just an ordinary town and we are here far too early. We kind of thought the car park might be rammed but it isn’t. It was strangely busy just after lunch when every digger, tractor or other farm vehicle was parked up. We saw the owners one by one stagger back from the bar across the road, get in and drive off! And that, folks, has been the the height of today’s entertainment! 😂
