After a quiet night we set off east wards, following the German/Austrian border. We had put in “no tolls, no motorways’ on Google maps, but still we were anxiously looking for vignette signs every time we crossed into Austria. If I’ve researched it correctly, for our motorhome to go on a motorway, we have to pick up and install a ‘go-box’ then pay 20 centimes per kilometre plus tax !😮
Think we’ll be skulking around the B roads!
After passing through many little towns and climbing up hill and down dale, we arrived in Füssen. Even managed to do a sneaky park for free! Such a beautiful town to walk around – we’ve only seen it in the rain before, so again, it’s nice to come back and see it in the summer. The museum is a stand out piece of ‘trick of the eye’ paintwork – making you think you’re looking at a real balcony, but it’s just painted on.

We continued driving towards Innsbruck as neither of us felt able to walk very far after yesterday’s marathon. Truly spectacular scenery all the way. Lush green meadows and soaring mountains. Looked out for the tiny church somewhere near Nassereith. Saw it eventually but not where we thought it was!

Not much parking available towards Innsbruck, so we’ve come off the main road, up a steep hill to a big car park next to a pizza restaurant. Didn’t want to walk so nothing for it but to clean the bathroom …Ta-dah!!!😂😮
