Guy spent the morning taking everything to bits and putting it back together again. The shower is still a bit hot and cold and we’re still not convinced there isn’t a secret water leak somewhere. He did manage to find a whole bar of chocolate under the bottom drawer in the kitchen – Hurray! It was out of date by a year – Boo! 😢

Finally, set off, non the wiser, in the direction of Torla in the Ordesa National Park. We love this area, but today we only stayed for lunch as there was an extremely cold wind blowing, which made the freezing temperatures feel even more Baltic.

Torla

After some discussion with the forecourt attendant at the petrol station, Guy found out which roads were open and we changed our route again. Deciding to drive up the Valle de Pineta, we drove south to Ainsa then back towards the French border at Bielsa.

We’d hoped to park up and do a bit of walking along the valley but there was just too much snow. The road was clear all the way up to the Parador de Bielsa but the car parks were knee deep. It was, however, probably one of the most scenic drives we’ve done – even if we did have to u-turn at the top and come all the way back to the town.

Had to settle for a little walk around Bielsa in the snow. Lucky find in the local supermarket though. Big barrels of Port at €3.45 per litre. After a quick tasting we came out with four litres in plastic bottles – fully stocked now for your next visit Matt and Julie!🤣🤣🤣
