First mistake of the day – both used the bumper sized bottle of Garnier body moisturiser on arms and legs and thought it was a bit sticky and very difficult to rub in. Now, I’m not sure why Guy’s legs are still hair free given that he doesn’t have his bike with him…maybe it’s just in case he falls over on some gravel? 🤣Anyway, translating from the Greek alphabet with much difficulty, we discovered we’d bought a giant bottle of hair conditioner! 😂😂😂
Drove just down the road to the beautiful town of Gytheio this morning, except it doesn’t look anywhere near as beautiful on a dull day. As we set off for a walk around Guy saw a barbers shop with only one person in, so went for a Greek haircut. Much attention to detail for £10 – he’s very pleased with the result.
Walked about a hundred yards through the town but both decided it was too cold. Thinking about driving on to the tiny causeway to the little island, a taverna owner shouted across to us – he was offering to feed us as he thought we were from the Ukraine. We’ve ended up parking on Vathi beach where the sea turtles nest later in the summer. It’s been quite rainy and miserable, so only had a short walk accompanied by a local dog. He’s now sat outside guarding the van and hoping for a bit of dinner.
