7am and I’m already awake but outside a coach has pulled up, closely followed by about thirty cars, all opening and closing every door including the boot! Think they were all going on a trip – the perils of parking in the middle of a town!
First stop, Lidl. Such an amazing array of produce compared to the dire offerings in our local Sainsbury’s these days. Guy took the opportunity to stock up on red grape juice.
It was cool and grey with spots of rain until lunchtime – completely different to yesterday.
Stopped for lunch in the historic riverside town of Josselin. The sun came out and we had a lovely walk through the medieval streets looking at all the leaning half timbered houses.

Back on the road mid afternoon, we made our way out to the coast after paying an eye watering €1.87 per litre for diesel, although this was certainly better than the €2.39 available on the motorway!
We landed just below the city of Lorient at Port-Louis. The motorhome stop overlooking the beach is very busy but we’ve managed to squeeze in. Never visited this area before but first impressions are: flat, clean, whitewashed low-rise buildings and bright blue sea. Had a big walk so that we can eat more bread and Normandy butter. 😂
