Gaucin

After more torrential rain in the night we got up to blue skies with just a few clouds on the horizon. We headed to the port area of Estepona first for a little walk by the sea. It was quite busy even though it’s only February. Got as far as the old town then made our way back with oven hot bread in hand for lunch.

Up into the hills again this afternoon, calling first at Caseres, one of Andalucia’s beautiful white towns. Huge Griffon Vultures circling around this place ..it was really funny watching them regain balance as the wind blew them around. Really cold up here too, compared to the coast.

Moved on to Gaucin late afternoon – think we’ve driven through here before but haven’t stopped. It’s a stunning looking place with views all the way to the coast, Gibraltar and beyond. Didn’t fancy walking up to the castle as it was too cold but had a nice walk through the village and down to a viewpoint- seemed a good place to park for the night, so we walked all the way back and fetched the van.
