Some debate this morning about which route to take. Didn’t really want to do any more snowy mountain passes for the time being, but through Pamplona and over the Pyrenees was the most obvious route back to Guy’s parents in France. We checked the weather and it looked to be much warmer on the French side than in Spain – which was a complete surprise to us. (Thought it would be the other way round). We decided to risk it and I thought it would take us forever. We passed some beautiful scenery all dusted with a liberal sprinkling of snow. Stopped for lunch in St Jean Pied de Port …really pretty town on the border. Still lots of pilgrims marching past doing our route on foot – that’s some undertaking! The sun was shining, everything was green and it was warm as we came down towards Pau – in fact a whopping 20 degrees warmer than the other morning! We arrived at The Bramley’s in Magnan about 4:45pm but by then we’d driven back into grey cloud and it’s super cold again. Had a nice dinner and Rufus is trying hard to behave himself but not quite managing it yet!!394C83A1-F1D3-4D59-88FB-3150B50A432E
