It was about midnight when we finally got parked up and sorted on Monday night. For such a small coast to coast, it sure takes a long time to get across. The clocks went forward again, so consequently, it was a late get up for us.
Straight into Lidl and Carrefour for all the goodies including guilt free wine, then off around the coast past Tarifa and up to Camping Valdevaqueros. Beach in the afternoon – no photos as it was far too windy and we got completely sand blasted, which wouldn’t have been good for the camera.
Yesterday, I filled the giant washing machines twice and pegged out three long lines, while Guy washed and polished the van. After cleaning inside, I decided it had been pointless as we’ve been surrounded by orange blossoms which smell divine, but give off non stop confetti. It all came back in through the roof vents!
This morning, we set off for Marbella and hit many traffic jams. It really is busy down here – I wouldn’t fancy it in August!

We are booked in for two days at Camping La Buganvilla which is slightly north of the town. Caught the bus in this afternoon and had a look around the beautiful old town – it’s very well manicured and full of colour. Last time here, it was bucketing it down with rain so we didn’t see much of it.

We had a top notch Aperol Spritz in a lovely square – a good way to celebrate our 32 years of wedded bliss!
