Driving around in circles a bit today as we had to find services etc. Headed for Motril first and then Salobreña, thinking it might be interesting as it had a castle. It was interesting…in the fact that we nearly got stuck in the narrow streets, so we gave up on that one.
I’d read about a little swing bridge with a glass floor back in Torrenueva Costa and Guy fancied some therapy, so we drove back there for lunch.
Nearly got stuck on a narrow street again, due to roadworks, but we managed to park on the sea front eventually. The swing bridge was only small, but there were good views from the hilltop. Weirdly, Guy was ok on this one – not 100% happy, but definitely ok!
Didn’t fancy walking far as it was very warm, so we went for a swim instead – directly from the van 🤣
Across the pavement, across the beach, into sea, out of sea, beach shower, back in van ..simples!
Continued along the still surprisingly scenic coast road for a while, through the high rise of Almuñécar and on to Nerja.
Thought we’d have another look at the Balcón de Europa but ended up driving past it as we couldn’t get to the parking…it’s been one of those days.
Got on the motorway as it was late afternoon by now, with the idea of parking on the beach just outside Torremolinos. The place we’d used before seems to have been closed down and the motorhomes are now herded together at one end – right underneath the flight path for Malaga airport!
