Back to Camping Buganvilla Thursday morning after a strange overnight stop in Torremolinos…don’t think we’ll be returning unless needs must. There was a lot of rubbish around and a lot of campers looked like they’d been there a very long time …without a wash or anywhere to empty the toilet. Add in the noise of low flying planes coming into Malaga – we couldn’t wait to get out!
Nice short but scenic drive to the campsite with some threatening dark skies that somehow morphed into brilliant sunshine by the afternoon.

Two empty washing machines upon our arrival ..woohoo!! Three loads done inside an hour and most of it out on the line.
Walked down to the beach through the land of swanky villas and beach clubs. Sat down just long enough to get completely covered in sand as it was very windy – we found it was more pleasant to walk along the shoreline.
Friday morning we drove towards Malaga to a motorhome place in order to invest in some proper tank cleaner. We’ve tried virtually everything now but there’s still a nasty smell coming up from the plug holes. Trouble is we’re almost getting used to it which is really bad news!
Returned to beach pm – thankfully it was a bit less windy but the sea was too rough for swimming. ☹️
Out out at night to meet friends, Suzanne and David, who very kindly picked us up and whisked us off to a fabulous restaurant called El Higuerón, followed by a tour of Mijas Pueblo, which was beautiful. Can’t believe we’ve never been there before and maybe it’s a little different in the daytime, but so atmospheric at night. Apparently the donkeys were all in bed though which is probably a good thing!
