Giardini-Naxos

Not much to write home about today. It was really hot this morning, but got cooler and windier throughout the day. Guy has had really bad toothache for a couple of days. He’s been using clove oil and taking painkillers, but today he went in search of a dentist. There were two in town – both closed at 10 am on a Monday morning???We went shopping to Lidl instead and then visited Castello Degli Schiavi …another Godfather film location – getting a bit nerdy now!😂 We want to visit Taormina up on the hill behind us, but after several attempts at trying to drive in and park we had to give up. Getting hungry, so we came back to the same camper stop – because it’s quite nice. Guy went back into town to see if the dentist had opened. Luckily, he managed to see someone within about 15 minutes. We were slightly worried as I’d read that the ehic card isn’t valid at dentists in Italy. Amazingly, he’s had an X-ray and temporary filling – no charge!! – Wow, that would be at least £80 at my dentists. The tooth needs to come out though really, as the man thinks it won’t stop the pain. Guy thinks this and his ear infection is all down to the fact that he hasn’t done any cycling! 😂🙄🚴🏻‍♂️. Rufus and I walked into the town to meet him then we came back and sat outside to eat our dinner – shivering!
