The resident photographer got up really early this morning to capture the sunrise (7:20am š), then got back in bed till coffee making time at 8 o clock. He then got his cycling legs ripped off by his Spanish friend Jordi and came back in bits at midday.

After a long lunch where we ate most of the contents of the fridge, we decided it was not so cold so had a walk down to the beach. Remarkably, it was so much warmer down there as we were sheltered from the wind.
Guy tried to be clever using his phone to control the camera but unfortunately, it just looks like heās received a message and is trying to look at it on the quiet!
Went to get a couple of photos of the ātres pinsā bar and hotel behind it for Jean and Don. Sadly, it looks like ātres pinsā is now ādos pinsā!!
…And, hereās a house weād like to buy – anyone got a couple of million spare?…
Finally, a cute dog we saw thatās been brushed to within an inch of its life. Thought Rufus might like it to play with, but itās owner came to retrieve it …looks like it could be one of those yappy ones anyway!
Rufus does Europe
Two people motorhoming around Europe with memories of a mad dog

Just had a binge read of your blog. Trying to take my mind off pending Brexit disaster. At the moment we’re booked on the ferry next Tues, but if we go out without a deal, we won’t have the right paperwork to get the dog in, so may have to cancel. The Pet Passport should still be OK to come home, but not out. How ridiculous is that? Sorry, rant over.
Nice to hear from you – how are you both? Hope Daisy is fully mended. Agreed, itās a right flipping mess this brexit thing. We worked on the idea that they wouldnāt stop up coming back in as long as we got out before it all kicked off. Due to cross back Easter Monday …who knows what chaos weāll face! Where are you off to this time …looking forward to having something to read ššSure it will be fine – hopefully they wonāt let us crash out. We still hope to do Scandinavia in July but itās a right confusing mess over pet passports – just need to know one way or the other really but no doubt theyāll still be faffing around this time next year! Have a good trip (will keep our fingers crossed! )

Don’t think you’ll have a problem getting back to UK, and hopefully by then we’ll know what’s going on. Daisy’s still not back to normal, we’re back to the Vet again tomorrow ! We’re off to our house in Brittany, so not taking the van this time. We might go to Germany/Holland later in the year when we know what’s going on. Which way home are you going? Don’t suppose you’ll come as far South as St Malo, otherwise there is a free aire in our front garden. Happy travelling.
Ah, thankyou – thatās really kind. We will be heading straight up through the middle of France (Clermont Ferrand) though, as meeting some friends in Siran next week. Must be fab having your own property to go to. Weāve been looking in both France and Spain but it would have to be hook line & sinker for us as donāt think we could afford to do it as a holiday home. The Brexit thing has put all plans on hold though as they might not allow us to do it anyway. Hope Daisy dog mends soon and all goes well for you.
