The famous Palafrugell Sunday market was on today, so we decided to take the motorhome out to get shopping and fill up with LPG. Think the campsite owner thought we might be doing a moonlight flit, but they do have our passports so we wouldn’t get very far! He said ‘Oh, there’s a market just down here you know’ …he meant the Spar supermarket which doesn’t open for another week! 🙄
Got half lost in Palafrugell as usual – it is a complete maze of streets which are all almost deserted until suddenly, you turn a corner and it’s heaving with humanity. Everyone turns out with their shopping trolleys, to stand in the street and have a gossip or sit in the square with coffee or beer.
We got a few bits – mainly a giant box of equally giant strawberries…wonder what they’re feeding them to make them so big at this time of year.
🤔 Went to Lidl for the rest of the shopping then made our way back to the campsite.
Filled up with water and drained again; this time Guy reversed it back into position, otherwise lunch would’ve been dinner!
Rufus was most miffed that he’d been travelling then ended up in the same place! Walked into town later on with fleeces and coats on. They were just getting ready for the trophy presentation for the regatta winners. Didn’t stay to watch – too cold to stand still.
