We took a slowish road to Hildesheim this morning and parked by a lake on the outskirts of town. It was quite a long walk in, although worth it, for the spectacular market place. UNESCO listed, it was only on reading up about it, that we discovered most of it had only recently been restored to its former glory. Apparently, they made a bit of a pigs ear of it first time round, after it had been flattened in the war!

Without coffee 😢, we moved further on towards Berlin, except we went backwards for a while, after taking a wrong turn. Had lunch, then Guy soldiered on, complete with sneezes and sniffles, until we reached Potsdam, just outside Berlin. Found a big empty carpark with motorhome spots between hedges …looks fine for the night 👍.

We’ve just now walked 11.5km (sore feet!) around the Sanssouci gardens and palaces – a pretty spectacular find, as you can see from the pics. With thanks to Frederick the Great – he must’ve had a bob or two! 😂

PS True to form, we happened upon another wedding – still no invite!
