Had a bit of a driving day today after a quiet night in Poznan. Done a slight de-tour as Warsaw didn’t look particularly appealing. Turned north east to a place called Toruń …birthplace of Copernicus – the chap who decided the sun was at the centre of the universe, not the earth….or Guy! 😂

Torun is another beautiful town. Very colourful, with churches everywhere. We are quite taken aback with how clean everywhere is in Poland and it’s roads are far better than England’s. Toruń also had its own leaning tower which seemed to be on even more of a lean than the one in Pisa! Managed to get Mr Bramley to do one lap of the flea market…the look on his face said it all. At least it was interesting tat!
Unfortunately, the weather is still really grey and miserable so we carried on north to Ostroda (page 122 on your maps please!)where we’ve found an agroturismo type place with all the services. It took us ages to find the owner, but eventually, after knocking on several doors, a lady leaned over the balcony and told us to park up and pay later, so we have.
Roast chicken in the oven – comfort food because now it’s raining ☔️
