A campsite had to be done today – we had washing coming out of our ears. Still on the same island in the Lofoten but we’ve crossed over to the northern side of it.
The trouble with these campsites in Norway, is that they seem to have very few trees for stringing a washing line up. The man on reception looked doubtful when we asked and suggested we attach it to the van and a very small fence…or use the dryer.
Once the washing was on, we found some small trees in the scrubland at the back, so set up a cat’s cradle of line between them. The wind was blowing so fiercely, I expected to pick them up in Finland later.
In the absence of any chocolate(£4) or biscuits(£3.70), Chef Bramley decided to make some flapjacks. They turned out really well and went down a treat with our coffee.
Cleaning took up most of the afternoon, carpets, floors, bathroom …yawn 🙄. Nice to be sorted for the next stretch though.
Had a little walk – we did 14km yesterday, so thought we’d just have a mini stroll this afternoon. The scenery is, as ever, spectacular.
We are parked facing the sea with a white sand beach round the corner, brilliant sunshine, but boy that breeze is Arctic 🥶!
