954FCBD5-4F10-4962-A100-D1D00457F685Saw a sunset last night …haven’t seen one of those for a while! 😀 We are heading south all the time at the moment though, so there is gradually a longer stretch of ‘night time’ although it just stays sort of twilight.

Got up late (for a change!) and drove towards Eggum, a small, but pretty little village on the coast. Got parking just out the other side next to a WW2 German radar post, with 3 NoK dutifully placed in the honesty box.

Had an early lunch and then decided to do the coastal walk between Eggum and Unstad. It seemed like a very long way with only sheep to give us encouragement.E74206B1-E4E7-4469-A828-FC549637CB1C We passed a bizarre sculpture on the way – just looked like a head on a plinth from a distance, but as we got closer it was nothing like a head on the other side. Clever but odd.

Unstad, with its white surfers beach, never seemed to get any closer – it was always just around the next headland. Eventually, we came to some huge rocks dropping into a cove that looked totally impassable. When we saw the young couple who were about half a mile in front of us coming back, we knew we’d reached the end of the line. Don’t know what happened to the path. Unstad really was just around the next corner, but not doable for us…well, Guy might have attempted it if left to his own devices, but it is possible that the sea might have come in, then there would’ve been big trouble! 0ABB5AB3-49B1-4F8B-A2B5-89DE605A9327C34CEDAC-1538-496B-815D-221D4912BAE0F32B9E23-AB32-4006-A021-6EC3475CB18B

Eggum to Unstad…Nearly!
