A914CF98-0E48-4ED5-B1FC-C3300A1C3C3EBoth a bit worse for wear this morning – we are such lightweights! Dragged ourselves up and out, on to the ferry to town.6675CA11-4121-47BD-82A8-4E9100A263E9 It wasn’t quite as manic as yesterday, when I think we got caught up in Amsterdam’s rush hour. Still, you take your life in your hands crossing the roads – cars, trams, scooters and a million bicycles travelling at warp speed – most of the riders texting whilst pedalling! The weather was a lot better so we meandered around a bit aimlessly. Guy crouched at the side of the road to take a photo at one point, and nearly fell into it …glad he wasn’t driving this morning.
Had a walk down by the flower market and then had to stop for coffee. The smell of weed down some of the streets was making us both feel a bit yuck and there were quite a lot of people who looked like they’d had far too many happy fags. 😂C1F1A134-303F-49DB-9AFD-1DC8DDF52FDC
Had to be out of the parking place by 3:30pm, so after emptying and refilling with water we tootled off in a southerly direction. “Let’s go to The Hague” says Guy “I’ve had enough big city.” An hour later, after being stuck in traffic on seven lanes of motorway, we were beginning to regret that decision. The Hague IS a big city, full of skyscrapers and no parking. Tried out on the coast, but too expensive, so ended up near Delft on a campsite. Raining again ☔️Washing washed and tumbled…time for a hair of the dog!
