Woken up fairly early by our fellow travellers sorting out their garages and cupboards – they’re all so industrious in a morning…what is there to do really? – other than drink coffee and gorm out the window.
We were soon blasting up the middle of the country. Monsieur Bramley has once again done all the driving. It was very windy in places which would have caused a complete refusal to overtake on my part, so better to leave it to the expert! 😉
We stopped at 2pm ish for some lunch and came off the motorway to have a look at Gustave Eiffel’s Viaduc de Garabit, an impressive wrought iron railway viaduct built across the Truyère river. There wasn’t a sole around so no infection happening, plus it was flipping freezing.

Guy had a power nap, then we continued up to here ( just below Montluçon). Got a bit of food in a reasonably calm supermarket and filled up with diesel. Fab motorhome parking in the village – just the church bells and owls hooting at the mo!

Looks like restrictions on movement in France from midday tomorrow. We’ll get as far as we can. The Channel Tunnel says its business as usual so we’ll see what happens. Would have thought France would rather we went home than have more people to deal with if we got ill.
