Left home about eleven after packing a million bags. Just a long weekend break, but we’ve discovered that in the UK, you need as much stuff as you do for three months abroad!
Trundled down the A1 and decided to de-tour to Ely for lunch. Guy wanted to see the cathedral – I was just hungry 😂
Ely was lovely and the cathedral was huge. Very impressive inside with a stunning oak vaulted ceiling. We hung around just long enough so that we hit rush hour as we approached London. 🙄Huge traffic jam on the M11 but M25 not too bad considering.
Found a fab car park at Whitstable overlooking the shingle beach. The tide was out and there were lots of people who looked like they were walking on water in the distance. Dinner at 9pm …bit late really
