Left the campsite and drove up the road a couple of miles to one of the ‘day time only’ car parks by the coast. The weather looked like it was clearing up, so we went for a little walk along the beautiful beaches. The white sand and turquoise sea is so stunning it kind of pulls you on to the next headland all the time. Before long we were nearly at the ‘Silver Sands of Morar’. Realising we needed to come inland a bit to get there, we started following the road.

There were a few houses dotted along the way, and from a distance we could see a brown lump in one of the gardens. Guy got the camera and zoomed in on a big deer and his mate, just having a mooch around near the washing line. As usual, we went into full on David Attenborough mode, whispering and creeping about – had to stop Guy going into the garden; it might have took some explaining. 😬
Got to Morar just as the mist rolled in and the heavens opened. We were both starving, so kept to the road to get back quicker. Completely soaked (getting used to it now 😉) had to do a full change of clothing. Up the road now, in a lay-by where we can park for the night, ready to get the ferry to Skye tomorrow.
