Felt quite hot and stuffy last night. We even put the fan on at one point. Luckily it was cooler in the lounge bit where Rufus is, as there are more vents to open. Got our three loads of washing on and it got windier and windier! Sure it’s up to ‘87 strength at the moment. The trouble with the pitch we’re on is that we’ve only got one tree – a giant palm. That’s no good when you have a washing line to string out! Guy came up with an ingenious solution of using the parasol frames on the beach….a whirlygig equivalent. It worked fine for a while, but then the wind got so strong it was picking up sand and spray from the sea. In the end the line had to go around the fat palm tree and up to the fence. Thought we might be in trouble seeing as we’re at the entrance to the beach but after seeing the German lady next door nick a plastic table and two chairs from the cafe, I think anything goes! 😂 Spent the rest of the day cleaning and walking Rufus in the woods. We’re now tucked up with the door shut waiting for the storm. 💨⛈🌪😂
