Quiet night in a pub car park – we had to pay £15 for the privilege although electricity was included. So different in England – it seems they don’t want you to park a motorhome anywhere other than a campsite. We had found a good car park by the sea in Aldeburgh last night. It was almost empty – loads of space but then we discovered it said no overnight parking in small print. We had just decided to chance it and started walking along the beach with Rufus when a police car came along with nothing to do….we moved on sharpish. Back to Aldeburgh this morning because it’s a lovely place. Marched round in the rain looking in expensive shop windows along the way. Wet coats, wet dog. Drove to Orford next to see the castle and distant lighthouse – I didn’t get out the van but the photographer thought it necessary even with a chest infection! Went miles along single lane country roads chancing our luck with oncoming lorries trying to get to a picturesque village called Kersey. Gave up after a few de-tours and road closures. We are now in Cambridge parked by the river listening to the rowing boats 🚣♀️ getting practice in for the next race. We walked into the centre with Rufus – it was sooooo cold. Really nice city although I’ve never come so close to being run over by a bike 🚲 so many times in the space of two hours!
