Angers (a driving day)

Quiet night in the carpark. A bit cold though, until we turned the thermostat up. Big empty quiet roads to Rouen but quite windy. Stopped for lunch in a lorry park where we watched a driver get out of his cab and promptly put his prayer mat out between all the lorries! That’s dedication for you….or madness! Arrived in Angers around 5:30 where there’s ample free parking by the river. Rufus had a little walk, then we marched into the town to get some exercise and test out the new walking boots! There was a huge Château which looked more like a giant castle from the outside. It had just closed for the day so we had a wander around the town instead. It was a really lively place in the centre and having no wine in the motorhome (trying to be good!) caused us to veer off in the direction of ‘Le Pub’….go on then, just one glass! 🍷
