There was a beautiful sunset over the water last night, but we couldn’t stay up late as the parking ticket ran out at 8am. We’d already gambled on the daytime fee as it would have been another £10 😬DA4C76DA-6CAD-4EA9-99C2-FF30DB50B453
Started winding our way back up through the islands. We were going to try and walk over a hill to another beautiful beach we’d been told about, but the carpark was full – everyone had the same idea today.
Back over the crazy hump back bridges and through the rock tunnels, we eventually stopped for lunch up near Henningsvær. Got the last bit of parking, but it was on such a slope that my lunch nearly ended up in Guy’s lap. The sun was shining and people were braving the sea.065D6DC5-B7C5-4607-8336-5FE2D7A69D1E507FF57B-FA8F-4130-AFD5-D214414CB7C9
Further along, we stopped to see the big wooden church, built to accommodate all the fishermen in years gone by.
Filled up with gas and proper diesel (Pete 😀) this time, then went to park back at the same lake we were at over a week ago. We went for a long walk around it – thought it’d be good to loosen Guy’s legs off after yesterday. “Why do you keep attacking me on the hills?” he said, as we walked up a gentle slope. Only a male cyclist would think someone was trying to goad them by walking slightly in front. Attacking!!🙄😂🤣😂….Quick – sprint for that road sign!
