Calella de Palalfrugell – Back in Paradise

To us, this is still the most beautiful place we’ve found in Europe (…so far!) – we love it here. What a stroke of luck this morning when we decided to come down here and check that the only viable campsite was still closed. They’d just opened the gates! We are the first guests of the season and they’re still sorting everything out really. Bit tight getting around all the trees but managed to find a pitch with a bit of sunshine. Had a nice lunch outside as we’d stocked up at Lidl – see today’s Good Food Magazine photo! 😆walked down to the beaches and town this afternoon. We were quite surprised as there are a good few of the restaurants open, people on the beach – and even in the sea. Everywhere is being cleaned and painted for the holiday season ahead. Whilst we had a drink (yes- another) on the seafront, we got to watch the new waiters being trained in tablecloth folding. The local clothing ranged from bikinis to coat, boots n scarves…it’s mad! I haven’t a clue what to wear and not much choice till the washing is done! 😂
