Feels like we’ve been messing around driving all day. The first bit to Cambrils was easy enough once we’d sorted parking. A nice relaxed place with a lovely beach and seafront promenade. We’d hoped to find the Wednesday market, but it looked like it was quite a walk away so decided to move on to Tarragona. The outskirts were not promising – full of gas works and petrochemical plants. You could even smell the gas as we drove in.396B8F2E-A3EB-4AC1-932E-E0713FEC9DBE Tried several places for parking – all either full or too dodgy to leave the motorhome (and Rufus). Had to give up in the end, although the old town looked quite nice, it just became impossible and we were getting hungry! Ended up by a beach on the outskirts for a late lunch and then moved on to Sitges.
Again, we did a lot of faffing around as we tried to come in on the coastal road and nearly got completely stuck in the one way system. Eventually, we paid to park by the beach and had a wander up through the town. It was really nice, full of life and the shops and bars were mostly open considering it’s still out of the holiday season.
Had to move on to park for the night as I think we probably would have been disturbed and it would have cost a fair bit. We are now parked by the sea in Castelldefels – also quite busy, but should be ok. Tempted by the bar over the road with big patio heater/flame things…quick – put the blinds up and we won’t see it!!!
