Second day in Porto Covo and the weather has been amazing – very warm and sunny. Had a secondary coffee while we put off the run/cycle a bit longer. We then watched an old man struggle down the steps from the shop with a walking stick then climb on to an outdoor exercise bike. I thought he was going to light a fag up as he sat for a minute but no, he gradually started pushing the pedals round. Very impressive! Inspired, we went off to do our bit. Running was almost impossible; there’s a distinct lack of pavements – ended up on the coastal path admiring the view instead. The rocky coves are lovely, although the town of Sines in the distance looks like its full of chemical plants. We walked down again later in the day for Guy to get some photos. Fancied something different to turkey or fish for dinner (we’re trying to be good), so got a chilli out of the freezer. Guess what? Flipping turkey mince! 🦃🙄
