The driver had a much needed day off today. We’re on quite a nice, well organised campsite that leads straight out on to a little beach but what a dirty, rubbish strewn mess it is all around.
Got a bit of washing done this morning then went for a walk in the afternoon. This should/could be a beautiful area but unfortunately, like lots of places, it’s drowning in plastic rubbish.
There are loads of apartments around so it must get busy in the summer – but there’s a lot to do if it’s going to be tidied up in advance.
Sat on a little rubbish free patch of sand but then the sea brought a load on to the shore anyway.
Sadly, we were approached for money twice by children again. So bizarre because they’re happily playing football on the beach then one runs after us asking for dirham.
I usually love to be by the sea, but Essaouira apart, Morocco’s coastline isn’t really doing it for us.
