Bit of a driving day today, starting with a full circuit of Mantua as we couldn’t find the way out. We had planned to stop in Parma for lunch and a ham purchase, but Guy’s back is not great today (probably from bucketing waste water out of the van yesterday), so we carried on all the way to the Ligurian coast. We’re here to hopefully see the five colourful, and much photographed villages of the Cinque Terre. They can only be reached by foot, train or boat, and last time we tried to get anywhere near we almost came unstuck with low bridges, narrow tunnels etc., so gave up.
We’re happy that we’ve managed to get to Deiva Marina as it has a train station so for about €4 we can get to where we want to be. Big bonus, is that it’s not busy here at all so the train should be ok.

Only two pictures as the photographer is giving his shoulder a rest. Hopefully, should have some good ones tomorrow.
