So that’s where we are anyway! 🤣Haven’t a clue how to pronounce it and yesterday we weren’t even sure if we’d landed in the place we’d meant to, as everything was so chaotic.

It seems to be a motorhome and small caravan site hemmed in by some kind of resort on one side and rubbish dumps on the other two. We paid twice the amount we were expecting to pay for two nights but we put this down to it being a bank holiday yesterday. The big bonus is that the two washing machines seem to be free – whether you’d want to actually put your washing in there is a different story 😬 We did manage to get a 60°C wash out of one of them though – took three hours but sheets are now clean!
We tried to go for a walk along the beach but it became a struggle to get past the stacked up kayaks etc – turns out we’d wandered into the resort bit and we were promptly turfed out through the back gate .
Luckily, the rest of the inmates on our campsite are very kind and friendly despite our terrible attempts at speaking their language.
The men all seem to be having a communal barbecue competition, all cooking completed with danger fag ash about to fall on meat.
Many dogs, cats and children wandering round. The dogs all have tombola tickets stapled to their ears – apparently, this is when they’ve been vaccinated against rabies and put back on the street. I feel so sorry for them, but they all look like they’re getting enough to eat somehow.
We watched a cat jump in the back of the van opposite this morning. It actually got in bed so we thought we’d better go and mention it as it looked like they were packing up to go complete with stowaway.
I won’t be surprised if I find a dog in the boot tomorrow..I know it will have been aided and abetted by the one who wants another pet!

We’re on the ferry to France, and doing a job lot catching up with your Blog. Sounds like you are having an adventure. Interesting the contrasts between the countries. Sounds like Croatia was expensive. Are you managing to wild camp when you can? What are the Autokamps? We’ve left our new van at home whilst we work on the French house, but already thinking where to go next.
